Beginning Praying in Colour

Just thought I would upload some of the prayers I have been doing this week since I started the praying in colour thing. I started with this one. I wrote Jesus in the center and started to colour it in. As words came, I just wrote them down. Sometimes a scripture would come. God loves it when we pray his word back to him. This was my very first attempt at Praying in Color and I had such a peace after completing it. Just doodles and scribbles but it's the heart that is behind it that God loves. Childlike drawings, childlike faith.

I like to put on some anointed music to play in the background and then I just let myself be creative.

Here is another one that I was inspired by. I cannot remember where the inspiration came from but when I find it again I will post it. I saw a post with circles and those circles had turned into flowers and I just saw the petals as a great place to put prayers on so I did! It is unfinished at the moment but that's okay.

Here I was inspired by Sybil's prayer journey walks. I knew that God was and is taking me through this journey of prayer and so as I thought and pondered it, I just drew a path - sometimes complicated, sometimes smooth, always different. The lines never cross. This represents my journey and I wrote things down in the pathways as I felt led. It is simple and just black and white so anyone could do this. Again, I felt a sense of God's Peace after I had done this. I guess it is just a way for me to spend quality time with God. I can speak to him and he can speak to me.

Here is one I did tonight - again inspired by Sybil and Mostly Markers Rosette design. I need the inspiration right now but as I grow in this walk I hope and pray I will be more confident to be more creative and do my own thing. There is too much of a block against my own natural creativity at the moment and I thank God for all the inspiration out there and the people who share their ideas. Thank you so much!

I do like to start with a scripture. It kind of guides my time with God and what he is saying to me.

Last night I ordered some new colours and two travel journals from here. One blue and one red. They came recommended.

Well, time to go now. Hopefully be back soon. Blessings.
